How To Enable And Configure LEDES Billing For A Client In ZenCase

Enable LEDES Billing For A Client

Firm administrators will need to ensure LEDES billing is enabled for your law firm before you can enable LEDES billing for a client. Refer to the guide for Setup LEDES Billing For Your Organization.

Configure LEDES Billing:

  • From the left navigation bar, select the "Contacts" button

  • On the Contacts list page, click a contact's name link in the table in the "Name" column. Alternately, select "Edit Client" under the "Actions" column.

    • Note: Only clients will have the option to enable LEDES

  • You will be redirected to the contact details page.

  • On the Contact > Details page, in the "Billing" section, select the checkbox for "Enable LEDES Billing"

  • Select the checkbox for "Require UTBMS Codes" to enforce users to enter codes when entering time or expenses into the system.

  • Select "LEDES Expense Codeset" from dropdown options. The default is the Firm Settings configured LEDES codeset default.

    • You can override the default option for a specific client by choosing a new option.

  • Select "LEDES Activity Codeset" from dropdown options. The default is the Firm Settings configured LEDES codeset default.

  • Select "LEDES Task Codeset" from dropdown options. The default is the Firm Settings configured LEDES codeset default.

  • Select "LEDES Timekeeper Codeset" from dropdown options. The default is the Firm Settings configured LEDES codeset default.

  • Select "LEDES File Template" from dropdown options. The default is the Firm Settings configured LEDES file template or the system file template.

Congratulations! You have now enabled and configured LEDES billing for your client.
