Overview
Matter based security allows law firms to set the access rights for specific matters as an opt-in process. Firm administrators can setup specific members in their law firm to have two types of security group permissions. By default, all matters are open to all members until you set security on the matter.
Two types of security group permissions:
Matter Security - Allow members to restrict another member's access to a matter
Matter Security Override - Allow members to override the security for a matter
Add Matter Security Permission To A Security Group
As a firm administrator, you can setup security group permissions to include the "Matter Security" option which will allow members to restrict another member's access to a matter. You can also include the "Matter Security Override" option to allow members to override the security for a matter.
โ
โNote: You must have "Matter Security" option selected to choose the "Matter Security Override" option. If you check the checkbox for "Matter Security Override", then the "Matter Security" checkbox will automatically be checked for you.
