How To Add A Trust Transaction For A Client In ZenCase

Overview

You can add new trust transactions for your client from the Trust Transactions tab.

Important Note: Trust transactions are immutable, once created, they cannot be deleted. Please confirm all details before creating trust transactions.

You can also:

  • Search and/or filter transactions

  • Export transactions to CSV

  • Add attachments to transactions

  • Download attachments for transactions in bulk

How To Add A Trust Transaction For A Client

  • Go to the Contacts list page

  • In the Client filter, select "Yes" to filter contacts by clients

  • Select a client in the table by clicking the client's name

  • On the specific client details page, click the "Trust Transactions" tab

  • Click "Add New Transaction"

  • Client will be auto populated by default

  • Select Matter

  • Enter Description

  • Select Tags

  • Enter Transacted At date

  • Enter Amount

  • Select Type: Deposit or Withdraw

  • Select Payment Method

  • Enter Reference Number

  • Select Payer

  • Click "Attach From Computer" to upload files for your trust transaction

  • Click "Save"

  • You will be prompted to confirm your trust transaction details

    • Note: Trust transactions are immutable, once created, they cannot be deleted. Please confirm all details before creating trust transactions.

  • Click "Yes, Create Trust Transaction"

You have successfully created a trust transaction. You should see the trust transaction added to the ledger and the balance summary at the top of the page will also be updated. You may need to refresh the page to view updates.
