How to Track User Login Activity and Status in Practice Pro

Practice Pro provides tools to manage and monitor user statuses, but it has limitations when it comes to tracking login activity. Below is an overview of what you can and cannot do regarding user login tracking, along with alternative actions to manage user statuses effectively.

Overview of User Login Tracking in Practice Pro

Practice Pro does not offer a feature to display which users are currently logged in or to confirm whether a specific user has successfully logged in. This limitation means that real-time login tracking or historical login confirmation is not available.

Understanding User Statuses

You can interpret user statuses in the Members section of Practice Pro to gain insights into their activity:

  • Invited: This status indicates that the user has not set a password and has never logged in. If needed, you can resend the invitation email to prompt the user to set up their account.

  • Active: This status shows that the user has set a password and has logged in at least once.

Limitations of Practice Pro in Login Tracking

While Practice Pro provides user statuses, it cannot:

  • Display a list of currently logged-in users.

  • Confirm whether a specific user has successfully logged in.

Alternative Actions

Although Practice Pro has limitations in login tracking, you can take the following actions to manage user statuses effectively:

  1. Resend Invitations: If a user has the "Invited" status, you can resend the invitation email to encourage them to set up their account.

  2. Check Email Generation: Verify whether an invitation email was generated and received to ensure the user has the necessary information to log in.

By understanding these features and limitations, you can better manage user access and activity within Practice Pro.
