Overview

A new feature in Practice Pro allows linking clients or vendors with the same name to QuickBooks customer Practice Pro. This option will help to avoid getting errors when both client and vendor names are the same.

How to Link Clients and Vendors to QuickBooks Customers

Note: The user should have "Update QuickBooks" permission to perform this action.

  • In the top right corner, select the down arrow next to your name.

  • In the navigation menu, select "Firm Settings".

  • On the Firm Settings page, click the "Integrations" tab.

  • Under QuickBooks, click the "Settings" button.

  • Under Update Quickbooks Client Id select Client in the Practice Pro Client dropdown

  • Select Quickbooks Customer in the Quickbooks Client dropdown

  • Click the "Update Client" button

  • You will receive a notification that QuickBooks Client ID updated successfully

  • Under Update Quickbooks Vendor Id select Vendor in the Vendor dropdown

  • Select Quickbooks Customer in the Quickbooks Vendor dropdown

  • Click the "Update Vendor" button

  • You will receive a notification that QuickBooks Vendor ID updated successfully
