How To View Receipt Summary Report In ZenCase

Overview

You can view the Receipt Summary report in your firm directly in ZenCase from the Reports page. This report will show all clients and matters total fees paid, total expenses paid, total paid, and total unallocated amounts. You can also view the grand total amounts for all items displayed on the page.

This report will show the following:

  • Client

  • Matter

  • Fees Paid

    • Total matter allocated fees amount by non-credit memo payments.

  • Expenses Paid

    • Total matter allocated expenses amount by non-credit memo payments.

  • Total Paid

    • Total matter allocated amount by non-credit memo payments.

  • Total Unallocated Client

    • Total unallocated payment amounts for the client.

  • Total Unallocated Matter

    • Total unallocated payment amounts for the matter.

  • Total Fees Write-Offs

    • Total matter allocated fees amount by credit memo payments.

  • Total Expenses Write-Offs

    • Total matter allocated expenses amount by credit memo payments.

  • Total Write-Offs

    • Total matter allocated amount by credit memo payments.

Note: Credit memo payments are payments which have a payment method marked as "Credit Memo". A credit memo payment type can be labeled "Credit Memo" or "Write-Off", as defined by your firm administrator.

How To View Receipt Summary Report

  • Go to the Reports page by clicking "Reports" from the left navigation bar

  • On the Reports page, click "View Report" under Receipt Summary

  • You will see all clients and matters receipt totals for this year as the default date range. View the totals for:

    • Total Unallocated

    • Total Fees Paid

    • Total Expenses Paid

    • Total Paid

  • You can filter by:

    • Client

    • Matter

    • Assignee

    • Include Fixed Fees: Yes or No

    • Client Originator

    • Matter Originator

    • Fee Type

    • Status

    • Include Zero Actual Hours: Yes or No

    • Start Date

    • Due Date

    • Start To Due Date

  • Click "Settings" in the top right of the table results to turn on and off columns to display

  • Click "Export Report" to view your report in CSV or PDF format

    • Note: Exported data will reflect the table results with any filters applied. Clear filters if you want to view all data.
