How To View Collections Overview Report In ZenCase

Overview

You can view all of your members (timekeepers), originators, and managers collections report directly in ZenCase from the Reports page. This report will show the following:

  • Billed Amount

    • Total invoiced amounts for selected date range which will filter by invoice date. Default is the current month.

  • Paid Amount

    • Total payment amounts for selected date range which will filter by payment date. Default is the current month.

  • Due Amount

    • Total invoiced amounts minus payment amounts for selected date range which will filter invoices by invoice date and payments by payment date. Default is the current month.

  • Billed YTD Amount

    • Total invoiced amounts for Jan 1 of the current year to today by invoice date.

  • Paid YTD Amount

    • Total payment amounts for Jan 1 of the current year to today by payment date.

  • Due YTD Amount

    • Total invoiced amounts minus payment amounts for Jan 1 of the current year to today

  • Billed Last YTD Amount

    • Total invoiced amounts for Jan 1 of the previous year to today's date in previous year by invoice date.

  • Paid Last YTD Amount

    • Total payment amounts for Jan 1 of the previous year to today's date in previous year by payment date.

  • Due Last YTD Amount

    • Total invoiced amounts minus payment amounts for Jan 1 of the previous year to today's date in previous year

  • Billed % Change

  • Paid % Change

  • Due % Change

Report Type Options

The Collections Report provides you with "Report Type" options which allows you to view your collections grouped by various resource types.

  • Member: View collections grouped by individual members.

  • Originator: View collections grouped by the originator of the matter.

  • Manager: View collections grouped by the manager of the matter.

  • Jurisdiction: View collections grouped by the jurisdiction of the matter.

  • Matter Types: View collections grouped by the matter type of the matter.

  • Matter Subtypes: View collections grouped by the matter subtype of the matter.

  • Billing Types: View collections grouped by the billing type of the matter.

  • Divisions: View collections grouped by the division of the member.

  • Matter Custom Field: View collections by the custom field for the matter defined by the firm.

How To View Collections Overview Report

  • Go to the Reports page by clicking "Reports" from the left navigation bar

  • On the Reports page, click "View Report" under Collections Overview

  • On the Collections Overview report page, you will a list of all the member's billed and paid amounts grouped by member.

  • By default, the report will show by Report Type: Collection By Member (Timekeeper).

  • You can filter by:

    • Report Type

      • Collection By Member (Timekeeper)

      • Collection By Originator/Manager

      • Jurisidction

      • Matter Types

      • Matter subtypes

      • Billing Types

      • Divisions

      • Matter Custom Field

    • Employee Type (displays when Report Type = Collection By Originator/Manager)

      • Client Originator

      • Client Manager

      • Matter Originator

      • Matter Manager

    • Additional Filters

      • Member (displays when Report Type = Collection By Member)

      • Charge Type: All, Time Entries, Fixed Fees, and/or Expenses.

      • Include Inactive Members

      • Date Range. Default is current month.

      • Include Credits: Yes or No.

      • Division

      • Jurisdiction

      • Matter Custom Field Value

  • Click "Export Reports" to view your report in CSV format

    • Note: Exported data will reflect the table results with any filters applied. Clear filters if you want to view all data.
