How To Perform Data Migration Go Live Checks In ZenCase

Overview

After you have completed importing all of the data from the legacy system into ZenCase, we highly recommend that you review the verification reports available in ZenCase while in data migration mode.

ZenCase offers verification reports to help you spot potential issues in your imported data. These reports are for guidance only. For example, the "Duplicate Contacts By Name" report flags possible duplicates, but if the duplicates are intentional, you can safely disregard the report.

Verification Reports

In order to review verification reports, you will need to ensure the organization is in "data migration mode". You will need to reach out to customer support if you do not see the following report page available.

  • In the left navigation bar, click on "Reports".

  • You will be redirected to the reports page, click on the "Data Migration" tab.

  • On the Data Migration tab, click on "View Report".

  • You will be redirected to the Data Migration report page.

  • Click on the "Verify Data" tab.

  • You will now see verification reports available in which you can run and see if there are scenarios that will need to be reviewed in more detail.

  • Available reports:

    • Compare Legacy vs ZenCase Client A/R

    • Compare Legacy vs ZenCase Matter A/R

    • Compare Client A/R vs Ledger

    • Compare Matter A/R vs Ledger

    • Duplicate Charges By Import Number

    • Duplicate Contacts By Name

    • Duplicate Matters By Name

    • Invoice & Matter Clients Not Matching

    • Invoice & Payment Clients Not Matching

    • Invoice Has Missing Charge Matters

    • Invoices With No Charges

    • Invoice Statuses Not Matching

    • Invoice & Charge Sum Amounts Not Matching

    • Negative Trust Balances

    • Payments With No Charges

    • Payments Allocations No Charges Exist

    • Payments Allocations Amount Not Matching Payment Amount

    • Charge Total & Hours * Rate Amounts Not Matching

    • Time Total & Import Amounts Not Matching
