How to Use the Conflict Check Feature
The conflict check feature helps you find potential conflicts by searching through data in the system. Follow these steps to get the results you need:
Enter the Full Name:
Start by typing the full name of the person you’re searching for. For example, if you want to check for John F. Kennedy, enter “John F. Kennedy” into the search box.
Consider Name Variations:
The system may not recognize different versions of the same name. For example, it won’t automatically know that “John Kennedy”, “John F. Kennedy” and “John Fitzgerald Kennedy” are the same person.
To ensure you cover all possibilities, run additional searches using variations of the name:
Search for “John Kennedy”
Search for “John F. Kennedy”
Search for “John Fitzgerald Kennedy”
Use Exact Match for Common Names:
For common names, you might get too many results. To narrow it down, use the exact match option.
For example, instead of just searching for “John Kennedy,” select the exact match option to get more precise results.
Sort By:
Relevance
Name (Ascending)
Name (Descending)
Created At (Ascending)
Created At (Descending)
Review the Results:
Look through the results carefully. Check the names and other details like emails to see if they match the person you’re looking for.
Example Searches
Example 1: Searching for John F. Kennedy
Enter “John F. Kennedy” into the search box.
Check the results.
If needed, search for “John Fitzgerald Kennedy”, “John F. Kennedy” and “John Kennedy” to cover all variations.
Example 2: Searching for a Common Name like John Smith
Enter “John Smith” into the search box.
Select the exact match option to reduce the number of results.
Review the results to find the correct person.
By following these steps, you’ll be able to effectively use the conflict check feature and find the information you need.
