How To Integrate With Law Pay For Creating A Payment Link On Invoices In ZenCase

Overview

ZenCase integrates with Law Pay to provide a payment processing service for your clients to pay invoices with check or credit cards. You can configure your Law Pay integration to choose the credit card and check accounts in which transactions will deposit into in Law Pay. You can also select options to configure how the button will appear on invoice PDFs generated by ZenCase.

How To Integrate With Law Pay

Firm administrators who have access to the Firm Settings page, can integrate with Law Pay for the firm and configure options.

  • In the top right corner, select the down arrow next to your name.

  • In the navigation menu, select "Firm Settings".

  • On the Firm Settings page, click the "Integrations" tab.

  • Under Law Pay, click the "Settings" button.

  • Click the "Connect" button.

  • You will be redirected to the Law Pay website and be prompted to login.

  • Login to Law Pay.

  • After login, you will be redirected back to ZenCase integrations page.

Congratulations! You have successfully connected to Law Pay. You should see your details display on the page under the "Settings" section.

How To Configure Law Pay for The Firm

  • On the Firm Settings page, click the "Integrations" tab.

  • Under Law Pay, click the "Settings" button.

  • Click the "Edit" button.

  • Select "Card Account".

    • Choose the Law Pay credit card account in which all credit card transactions will be deposited.

  • Enter the "# Delay Days For Credit Card Payments".

    • This is the number of days to set the payment date for credit cards after the payment has cleared with LawPay.

  • Select "Check Account".

    • Choose the Law Pay credit card account in which all credit card transactions deposit

  • Enter the "# Delay Days for Check Payments".

    • The number of days to set the payment date for checks after the payment has cleared with LawPay.

  • Check the "Auto Allocate Payments" option if needed.

    • Once a payment clears in Law Pay, ZenCase will create a payment and this option will auto allocate the payment to the client and/or matter.

  • Check the "Create Trust Deposit" option if needed.

    • Creates a trust deposit instead of a payment for LawPay transactions. Note that the transactions will not be auto-allocated to the invoice.

  • Check the "Use Default Image as Pay Link" option if needed.

    • Click the "Preview" button to preview the image. Checking this option will create a "button" with this image in which the client can click on the button in the invoice PDF to bring them to the Law Pay page to make a payment.

  • Enter text in the "Payment Link Text Override" field if needed.

    • Entering text in this field will create a "button" with this text in which the client can click on the button in the invoice PDF to bring them to the Law Pay page to make a payment.
